This is the Porsche 918 Spyder & Carrera GT Set, produced as a 1/43 scale handmade model car from the EIDOLON COLLECTION.
This product pairs faithful recreations of two exceptional mid-engine Porsche models: the Carrera GT, released in 2004, and the 918 Spyder, released in 2011.
While the two cars share features such as a mid-engine layout and a CFRP center monocoque, the Carrera GT is actually 3.15 in (8 cm) longer in wheelbase and 5.28 in (13.4 cm) longer overall, giving it a noticeably larger body.
Although opportunities to see the actual cars side by side are rare, this set allows their differences to be clearly appreciated.
On the models, the mesh sections of the rear engine hoods are recreated with photo-etched parts and press-formed to match the shapes of the actual cars, creating a three-dimensional appearance.
The powertrains visible through the mesh are also reproduced in relief with an emphasis on realism.
For the lighting components, the reflectors are made from white metal and finished with chrome plating and paint to recreate the appearance of the actual cars.
The wheels feature sharp detailing based on master patterns machined from brass, with careful paintwork applied to the center locks and brake details.
