This is the Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) Mazdaspeed GT Concept with Open Headlights, produced as a 1/43 scale handmade model car from EIDOLON.
This model faithfully recreates the Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) Mazdaspeed GT Concept equipped with Mazdaspeed aerodynamic parts.
This version recreates the distinctive retractable headlights in the open position.
For this open-headlight version, new master data was created with the headlight areas cut out. Headlight unit parts sculpted based on 3D scan data of the actual vehicle were then incorporated to recreate the sharp, commanding appearance of the real car.
The headlight units reproduce not only their shapes but also fine details such as the small screws.
The headlight reflectors are made from chrome-plated white metal parts and are covered with clear outer lenses.
Although the model does not feature an opening and closing mechanism, this allows the realism of the headlights in the open position to be thoroughly reproduced.
The combination lamps are made from thin vacuum-formed parts to prevent clouding or distortion.
The taillight covers, for which precise fitting to the curved body surface is essential, are made from injection-molded parts with particular attention paid to their fit with the body.
The reflector housings have also been carefully sculpted to recreate the appearance of the actual vehicle.
The large rear wing, designed to reduce aerodynamic drag and lift, uses white metal for the main wing element to reproduce both its thin profile and precise shape.
The wing supports use photo-etched parts for a sharp, precise appearance.
