The Missing Link series presents imagined reissues that might have existed in that era.
The 12th release introduces Grimlock, commander of the dinosaur force known as the Dinobots!
In 1985, the Dinobots gained popularity by introducing a new concept: a five-member team that transformed into mechanical dinosaurs joined the Autobots, whose ranks had previously consisted mainly of members that transformed into cars.
Their commander, Grimlock, now appears in the Missing Link series with an all-new design and even more features. Grimlock transforms from a mechanical Tyrannosaurus rex into a robot.
While retaining the original construction with die-cast parts, the figure now features articulated joints that allow for a wide range of poses in both modes.
The colorful mechanical details represented by stickers on the original toy have been recreated with three-dimensional sculpting and detailed paintwork.
The included Saber accessory features silver plating inspired by the Diaclone era and is made of rigid plastic with a sharply defined tip.
Two handheld accessories, the Double Laser Blaster and Launcher, are also included. The projectile for the Launcher does not have a firing function and can be attached or removed for imaginative play.
As with C-11 Delta Magnus, a female Human figure is included and can be seated inside by opening the cockpit hatch on the dinosaur's back.
A Secret Emblem is attached to the robot figure, revealing the Autobot insignia when warmed with a finger.
A connection port for a separately sold display stand is located on the robot's back, allowing the figure to be displayed in action poses.
The package features newly created artwork inspired by the original era, and a collectible card is also included.
